Front of Store Inventory

Nielsen's Front of Store Inventory supplies the projected inventory available for selected sku's within the Selling Area of the store.

Methodology

  • Inventory collected for selected skus (as determined by client)

  • Studies conducted in Food, Drug and Mass Merch and/or Remaining Grocery/Variety

  • Auditors visit the MarketTrack sample of stores

  • Inventory data merged with MarktTrack database

  • Inventory projected to total marketplace

Features and Benefits:

  • Projected inventory reported for each sku plus the Total Brand
  • Reported in Units and Converted Tonnage
  • Reported at the Region and purchased Key Account level
  • Inventory added as an additional fact to the client’s MarketTrack database
  • Allows for comparisons of Inventory to Sales relationships
  • Assists in assessment of Pipeline load to help Production Planning
