SpotWatch™

SpotWatch offers the most in-depth advertising intelligence available for television. It is a reporting application for a monthly television commercial spot database that spans Canada’s local People Meter markets and National specialty broadcasters. National English specialty and Quebec-francophone specialty versions are available. It is available by product class, company, brand and/or creative theme. SpotWatch data can be imported into Media Advisor’s Average Minute R/F and Specific Minute R/F modules. SpotWatch is delivered on CD.

Advertiser and agency uses:

The advertiser and agency version of SpotWatch stores digitized views of selected television creative executions so agencies can access the commercials and relevant supporting data nearly all at once.

  • Measure your own advertising activity and your competitors’ activity with precision.
  • Determine how an entire category is performing
  • Respond in a timely fashion to a competitor’s campaign.

Broadcaster uses:

  • Prospect for new revenue opportunities by finding advertiser spending on other stations or networks.

  • Rating achievements for 13 standard demographics by program and AIS brand hierarchy
  • Comparisons of total program, exclusive commercial, and exclusive program audiences for all programs airing across the monitored stations
  • Advertiser listing, reporting commercial activity and rating achievement for each minute of a program
  • Identify a station’s advertiser share and list as prospect, exclusive, or leader
  • Detail brand hierarchy reports, with customized group definitions and summary level totals Options include Program, Station, Period (Week/Month), Company/Division, Brand, Creative

SpotWatch schedules can also be imported into Media Advisor’s Average-Minute and Specific-Minute R/F modules for analysis of reach, frequency and frequency distribution. Prior to creating the import file, selections can be customized by station, weeks, companies and brands.

SpotWatch reports program-average ratings and specific commercial-minute ratings for every television commercial occurrence captured between 6a-2a on the 61 monitored conventional and specialty stations in the Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal-francophone markets.

Rating achievements are based on actual telecast audiences as reported by the BBM Nielsen Media Research People Meter panel. Clients can purchase specific markets, classes and companies, with delivery 36 days after month close.
