Ad*Views enables clients to easily and quickly analyze media and creative strategies. Previously, marketers used several different services to gather competitive advertising intelligence across the media landscape, such as Nielsen’s SpotWatch, AdEx, Creative Monitoring Services, and ACNielsen Diary Market CD. Ad*Views combines the information from these services into a single intuitive web-enabled application, saving time and resources by making data extraction and processing easier.
It allows clients to easily and quickly analyze the media strategy of their competitors, and to gauge the performance of their own media plan:

Ad*Views includes an historical database, commencing January 2003, containing all levels of category, class, company/division, and brand detail with national, regional and market segmentation analysis. In June 2005, the television ratings database was expanded to include specialty network audience achievements in all major markets (previously available in five markets).
The data parameters can be customized and include brand, class, dayparts and demographics. Its alert feature notifies users of new advertisers or brands within a category, class, media type and market.

Ad*Views reports occurrences, gross rating points (GRPs), impressions (creative level minimum), and expenditures (brand level minimum) by station in 13 major markets. You can also monitor pod position and download creative videos and storyboards.

Expenditures (at a minimum brand level) can be viewed by market and media type. Ad*Views data access can be customized by media type (expenditures and/or GRPs), market, class and company/division. Ratings data are available 21 days after month close, with expenditures released 35 days after month end.

Creative Delivery To Your Desktop
Ad*Views stores digitized views of each television creative execution, employing proprietary compression algorithms developed exclusively for Nielsen Media Research. These digitized views consist of full-color images (a single frame per second) and full audio copy.
After the labeling process is completed, these digitized views are loaded onto a video jukebox where they are accessed by subscribers. Upon downloading, these views can be stored or transferred as conventional AVI files for e-mail distribution. Ad*Views can also produce storyboards.
