| The Advertising Expenditure Summary CD is a monthly reporting application, delivered in CD format, that compiles of all the media advertising expenditures measured by Nielsen Media Research in Canada across the past calendar year. It is delivered annually, or in cumulative building monthly or quarterly increments.

Reporting is segmented by broadcast month, by quarter, semi-annually and annually. Users may customize geography and date ranges to match sales area and fiscal definitions. A five year database is available and updated with company buyouts to reflect the current ownership status. Clients can purchase specific markets, classes and companies, with delivery 35-40 days after month close.

- Rank reports by market, period and media type for category, class, company and division.
- Hit list reports, identifying media types in which no advertising occurred, customizable by hierarchy.
- Customization of reported metrics, including: Media Types, Share Percent
(by Media and/or Dollars), Expenditures (Units, $000).
- Top Rank reports through “Display Top” definitions.
- Standard Summary report templates based on standard hierarchy segments, with customizable hierarchies.
